This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Power Planner for mobile devices that was created by BareBones Dev. Power Planner is a homework planner for students, which includes an online account where they can keep their data synced online and accessable across devices.
Power Planner obtains the information you provide when you download and create an online account. Creating an online account is optional. Users can choose to create a local account, where no data will be collected. However, please keep in mind that you may not be able to use some of the features offered by Power Planner unless you create an online account.
When you create an online account, you provide a unique username and password specific to Power Planner, and your email address. Email addresses are used specifically for account recovery purposes.
With an online account, any information you add to the app, like homework assignments, are also stored on an online database.
Power Planner will collect basic telemetry using Microsoft's Application Insights. This information is strictly used for improving the reliability and functionality of Power Planner.
Power Planner does NOT collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve Power Planner and our service. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information: - as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process; - when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request; - with our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement. - if Developer Company Name is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.
You can stop all collection of information by simply creating a local account instead of an online account. By creating a local account, all data stays on your own device.
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you still have an online account with Power Planner. Your username, password, and email address will be deleted if you remove your account from within the app. If you would like all of your data removed (homework assignments, classes, etc), please contact barebonesdev@live.com and we will respond in a reasonable time.
We do not use Power Planner to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at barebonesdev@live.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
Power Planner uses secure Microsoft Azure servers to store all User Provided data. Access to the database is limited to BareBones Dev and trusted contractors in order to operate, develop, or improve Power Planner. Please be aware that, although we provide reasonable security for the information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
Power Planner allows you to link your online Power Planner account with your Google account, solely for the purpose of allowing users to view their Power Planner tasks/events/classes from within Google Calendar. To do this, Power Planner requests read/write permission to your Google Calendar. Read/write permission is necessary for Power Planner to add and update your Power Planner items into your Google Calendar events. Power Planner does not store or access any information from your Google account. Power Planner only pushes into your Google Calendar and interacts with Power Planner's own data within Google Calendar.
By using Power Planner, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United States privacy standards.
